On Thursday April 10 last week we talked to the pre-school that is right beside the care-point, and they agreed to let our kids start school. There was enough space for all 11 of them. Everything worked out so perfectly in less than an hour. Praise the Lord! I walked all of the children to the school and they were sized for uniforms. They were all so excited! The teachers wrote down all of their names and gave us a price. For 11 children it added up to be less than two thousand dollars for uniforms and school fees for the rest of the year. We are so excited for all of our babies to start school. It just works out so perfect, because the school is so convenient for all of the children to walk to, the parents won't have to pay extra bus fare, and they can still go to the care-point after school.
Friday the children had their first day at school. They were so excited and proud of the work they did that day. Each one showed me their papers. The teachers told me they did very well. Nomsawah the make (mother) at the care-point made porridge to take to the school to feed our kids and she ended up feeding the whole pre-school. After school the teacher wrote me the official school fee slips and ended up subtracting $65.00 off each child's fee because they didn't attend the first semester. The teacher told me that she would be so convicted if she charged us for it, because it would not be right. I praise the Lord for that, and I am glad our children will be under the authority of a woman with such noble character. On Tuesday we brought the children their new backpacks and lunch boxes. They were all so thrilled.
