The Friday before Easter at our care point we told the story of the resurrection. We explained the importance of Christ's death and resurrection. The children acted it out and they did very well. It was one of the best times we have had with all of the school children. We decided to take our time and it ended up taking over two hours, but the children were so attentive in the hot sun. We explained how Jesus told his disciples that it is better that he leaves, because if he didn't then the Spirit of truth could not come. We explained how satan was disarmed and we now have authority in Christ. We asked the children if they were aware that satan is real, and we made it clear that he is real and has plans to harm us, but we do not fear because he is defeated- we have authority over him in the name of Jesus! Before we finished we explained salvation and how the Holy Spirit will come and live in you. We asked if any of them had not prayed the pray of salvation to stand in the middle. ALL of the children came in the middle and prayed. Oh praise the Lord! After we screamed… Jesus is Alive! And he lives in me!! I want all of these precious children to know how much God loves them-that they are not forgotten- and that they have authority in Christ!
