On Friday we were headed to our care-point and a man walked up to the window of the kombie we were sitting on, which is not unusual at all. Usually the men are really rude and straight forward. They say "I love you"… "Marry me"… so we just come to expect it. But this man said something different. He walked up and stuck his hand out with a ten cent coin in his hand, and asked for money. Since we aren't allowed to give out money I asked him a question. He proceeded to ask us for a job. We told him that we didn't have a job for him, because we didn't even have jobs ourselves. He looked at us confused. I told him that the Lord will give him a job if he asked him. He told us that he prayed everyday for the Lord to give him a job. He also said that he prayed and thanked the Lord, but he was still hungry. We told him that when he prayed for the Lord to provide him with a job that he should walk out in faith and look for a job and the Lord would open the right doors. He looked at us and told us that we were white and favored by the Lord. He said you white people are special to the Lord. Lindsey and I both looked at him and told him that the Lord loves him too and has a plan for his life. He then asked us to pray for him and ask the Lord to give him a job. As we started to pray the kombie began to drive away, but the man ran along side the kombie as we finished praying. Lord I believe you will provide this man with a job. I believe we will see him soon and he will tell us what the Lord has done.
