This past week the Lord has really been putting the pieces together and creating this beautiful picture of his heart for the nations.
Jesus says go make disciples of all nations…
I've always in general pictured that as getting people saved. I've always hated the idea of throwing Jesus at people. I knew there had to be a better way than that and just asking people to come to church. There is so much more. God is so good and faithful. The Lord began showing me before this trip that its about relationships and has been revealing it a lot through out this trip.
Piece by piece…
And the reality of Africans saving Africa has been put into perspective. Its not us Americans or westerners who are going to fix/ save Africa with our agendas and big ideas. It is in what Jesus was talking about- MAKE DISCIPLES… It is looking deeper and coming alongside believers and encouraging, building up, and pointing them to the source. It is dropping our humanitarian ideas and getting in line with what God is already doing. That's where it's at. Because in reality many Africans have been saved 8 times. Many do believe. I've gotten the response a few times when I ask are you a believer?… many say yes, I use to be a Christian, but I haven't been to church in a long time. There is a lot of foundational elements needed. I now see the bigger picture of discipling in line with what God is doing and pointing people to the place of discipling others themselves.
